Anti-abuse (LAC-AAWG)

The Latin American and Caribbean Anti-Abuse Working Group (LAC-AAWG) is
a convening forum for regional network operators and anti-abuse experts
to share their concerns on issues related to Internet infrastructure’s
abuse. The WG activities are focused on creating awareness on, and
foster adoption of, anti-abuse best practices and operations and also
fomenting the development of anti-abuse recommendations and BCOPs.

LACNOG ratified the charter for the LAC-AAWG on February 8th 2017 and
the first WG face to-face meeting took place during the LACNIC 27 in Foz
do Iguaçu, Brazil, May 22-26. The founding co chairs are Christian
O’Flaherty from ISOC and Lucimara Desiderá from CERT.br/NIC.br.
